Haul - Boots, Superdrug and Holland & Barret

Hey Lovelies;

I wanted to start of by apologizing for not posting on here for so long, been a good 3 weeks or so..
Saying that though, I thought that a haul would be a nice opportunity to get back into the swing of things, as I did do a cheeky bit of shopping today, not gunna lie!
This haul is both a mix of exciting and not quite so exciting purchases, but
I hope that you enjoy overall :)

Superdrug

The very first thing that I picked up were two of the Tea Tree Mud Masks. I have tried a couple of items from superdrugs Tea Tree range before, which I enjoyed using, so I thought that I may as well give these a whirl, especially as I do want to get more into my skin care, and I guess doing a face mask once a week is a nice start, they are only 89p a go which I think is brilliant :)

I have been using the Tea Tree Facial Cleansing Wipes for around 5 months now, I really do enjoy using them, whether its to take my makeup off or to give my skin a refresh on a hot day, I just love them, and they smell so good! These were £1.49, which I don't think is bad at all.

When I went to the next isle along, I couldn't help but notice these face masks, (think I've gone a little face mask crazaaayy). They are 99p each, but at the moment they are on a 4 for 3 offer, which I just couldn't resist for the life of me, so of course I picked up 4, again I haven't actually tried any of these before, but am hoping they are as good as they look!

I then picked up some curved nail scissors, just because I needed some desperately, due to losing my old ones :( these ones are coated with 24 carat gold apparently, so so it says :P and at £3.99, why not!

Next I noticed that there was a 3 for 2 offer on Rimmel, and as I had the intention of purchasing some mascara anyway, I thought that I'd make the most of it, by picking up they're new Mega Plush Volume Express mascara, one of Scandal Eyes Shadow Sticks in the shade Bulletproof Beige and one of the new Salon Pro nail varnishes in the shade 500 Peppermint. I am looking forward to trying each of these items, as I have never purchased a Rimmel mascara which has let me down, the shadow stick, I have only tried it on the back of my hand so far, its a gorgeous champagne shade, with a hint of gold, so soft, creamy and was easy to blend when I used my finger, and the nail varnish? well I'm just in love with mint at the moment, it is a much lighter green than its appearing in the photo, almost pastel.

I am almost out of my Batiste Dry Shampoo so I thought I'd pick of two of the extra large bottles, which we're on a half price offer of £2.48. Not going to lie, I could not live without this stuff, I hate the idea of washing my hair every single day, and this stuff just helps me get through, without feeling paranoid, which is great.

I had left my Blistex which I was almost out of at work, so whilst in Superdrug I thought that I'd pick another one up, I'll tell you what, I absolutely love this stuff, its great, I mainly use it first thing in the morning before I start applying my makeup, this allows lipstick to be applied smoothly, and I also like to apply it after I've taken off all of my makeup, and cleansed my face before going to bed, ensures that I wake up with lovely soft lips every time. This baby is a staple product for me, and at £2.59 you cant really go wrong.

The very last thing that I picked up whilst in my local Superdrug was the Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle. Whilst in the box it had a proper screw on lid, but in the box its self they provide you with a new lid, which is actually a pippet (don't know if thats how you spell it) like you used to use in your science lessons, this makes application so easy, you just pop a little bit onto your nail and massage it in. On the front of the box it states;

'59% longer nails, Instantly smooth cuticles. Guaranteed!'
And on the back of the box it says;

A breakthrough nail treatment designed to support
fast natural nail growth, as it perfects cuticles'

Sounds quite promising to me, and at a price of £7.45, I really hope it does the trick. My nails arent in great condition due to shop work, lately I feel so self conscious of them so yeah hopefully this product will live up to expectations.

Boots

One of my work friends used a perfume after our shift, and when I asked her what it was I was so shocked to find out that it was this! I've never really been keen on the So... scents, but this one is really quite nice, sweet, but a real nice sweetness, I really am useless at describing scents! :) But I just had to pick it up, at only £4.23 down from £6.35, it was bargain-ness!

As I said earlier I am on a mission to get my nails into better condition, so I picked up a very cute pack of three mini nail files for just £2.00.

I have only ever used the cheapest primers possible, so I thought i'd try one with a bit more of a hefty price tag, and at £19.50 I hope its a good one! It does have in the product its self, light reflecting particles, and if you dont know already I love any product which could make my skin look brighter, more luminous and ensure my makeup stays put all day long, I cannot wait to try this one!

The last thing I picked up in Boots is quite boring, but I thought that I may as well mention them, it was two packets of hair bands, and as all of my previous ones have gone walkies, I was in need! I also love that they dont have that annoying bit of metal on them, I always used to manage to ping my fingers with it, and oh my it hurt every time!!

Holland & Barrett

I only picked up one item in Holland & Barrett. As some of you, well most of you may not know, I have been Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 13, I have read so many great reviews on the Vitabiotics Diabetone Tablets, that I thought I'd give them a go. If they do nothing for me then I dont have to buy them again, but if they do, do something like the reviews said online, then I am guaranteed to be purchasing them again once I run out. They are meant to help with the control of blood sugar levels, plus a lot of the people writing the reviews said that these tablets gave them so much energy, which would be a plus as I been feeling quite tired lately. They have a price tag of £10.55, with a months worth of tablets in each box.

Anyway that is it for todays post. If anyone would like me to review any of the products mentioned, or to do a look with the makeup shadow stick, then please just leave a comment to let me know! Also any ideas for future posts would be much appreciated :)

OOTD

Hey beauties!

Today I thought that I would share with you, what I picked out of my wardrobe to wear today, it was the first beautiful day in so long, which I started off by going on a nice long dog walk with my mum, where we then stopped off at a pub for an ice cold drink, (we felt very parched) which was lovely, but anyway enough chitter chatter back to the OOTD,
I hope that you
enjoy ... :)

The chinos in the above picture along with the grey vest top were actually both featured in my most recent post before this one, where I mentioned prices, and went into more detail about what I thought of them as my personal first impressions. The chinos, which I am absolutely in love with are from Dorothy Perkins, and the vest top was from Topshop, they should both still be available in stores if you're at all interested:) the blue cardigan, I purchased from Primark last winter I believe, its held up so well, and is definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe (will be purchasing more this winter)!! Unfortunately I cant remember for the life of me as to how much it was.

These shoes were from H&M a good 7-8 months back, I'm almost certain that these shoes are forever in stock at that store! They look like they've been worn well, which it would be a maa-hussive lie if I was to say that they havent been. They have a price tag of £7.99 which is a bargain in my books, and even better they are available in a ton of different colours and patterns, I have several pairs (don't tell anyone) eeeekk!

The necklace was also featured in my last post, its so simple and not crazy in the slightest which is something that I love in any jewellery piece.

Fashion & Beauty Haul

Hey lovelies!

Today I went shopping near where I live, I honestly didnt intend on buying much at all, if anything really, but as a result ended up spoiling myself just a little bit, and thought that I'd show you what I bought. I love nosey-ing at what other bloggers and youtubers pick up in stores, and thought that you might enjoy it too, so lets get into it :)

Dorothy Perkins

I've been looking for this kind of jewellery piece for such a long time now, where ever I went shopping in the past, I just didnt like the pieces at all, but luckly today I found two which I absolutely love in the same place, ideal! The triangle necklace was £12.50 and the chain one was £10.00, which I don't actually think is too bad, because I do plan on getting a hell of alot of use out of them! I just think that these pieces are perfect to jazz up a simple outfit, thinking about it they would go quite well with the chinos below with a white tee and maybe some vans, see I've got this sorted already :P

I found these chinos at the petite section of Dorothy Perkins, with a price tag of £25.00, with me being only 5ft2 these are just amazing, I cannot even begin to tell you how much I adore these! They fit me perfectly, I love the color, and I love the slouchy look that chinos can give to an outfit, but you can also make them look really put together, such a versatile piece. I just need to find me a nice burgundy pair now.

Topshop

Whats to say about the two vest tops above? Well they are originally £6 each, but when I went instore they had an offer on, two for £10, so naturally I had to pick two up:) You can never have too many basic pieces!! I love that they aren't just one plain flat color, but instead they're speckled with a bit of white. They are made of a gorgeous soft material, I have actually bought vest tops from Topshop before and know that they do last very well. Also If you're looking at the pictures wondering why they both look different sizes, well they are! They unfortunately didn't have the purple one in size 8, so I got it in a 10, but I figured that I don't really mind it being a bit oversized.

The pink top above, has a price tag of £16.00 so I didn't really think that I could go wrong. I love that this top has such amazing lace detailing, I didnt take a pictire of this because you wouldnt have been able to tell, but there is only one layer of plain pink insert on the inside to cover your bra and belly, but at the back, its only the lace material if that makes sense, which I love! I think that this is a gorgeous top for the summer, (if we get any summer this year!)

I just had to pick up this top, It has a price tag of £26.00 but I think it was completely worth it. again another gorgeous summer piece. I love the musky pick color with the bright, almost neon flowers. The back is draped down slightly further than the front. Not to mention I love the cut out detailing on the back to show of a little bit of skin, amazing buy!

This was my last purchase in Topshop, I've always wanted to pick one of these lip crayons up, so I thought 'why not?' plus it was the first time since the Topshop makeup line got launched that my local Topshop actually had more than a couple of the nail varnishes, bonus! This one is in the color Coy, a very bright coral color, I thought it would look nice with a neutral eye. So far I've tried it on my hand, and I have to say it has amazing staying power, although it seems drying, so I will have to try this ontop of a good lip balm, and I will let you know what I think in the near future. Almost forgot to say that this was £7.00.

Superdrug

The final store I went into was Superdrug, I didnt have much time, I literally had to run in and out, but I really wanted to pick up a couple of items from they're new-ish makeup line called B. I am an absolute sucker for mascara, so I thought that this was a good time to see if this makeup line is any good, by trying out they're mascara! I picked up the B.Loud one which is meant to be great for giving your lashes volume, it had a price tag of £9.99. I also picked up the B.Precise Gel Eyeliner which was £6.99, Ive been wanting to get back into wearing liquid or gel liner for quite some time now, so I thought that I may as well pick it up. It states on the box that it has a wear of 24 hours and that it has a HD colour finish gel formula. Only time can tell! If you would like me to review any of these makeup purchases, please just leave a comment and I will get onto that :)

Topshop Lipstick 'Innocent'

Hello Beauties.

Back in 2010 Topshop released they're very own range of cosmetics,
I however didnt get around to purchasing anything makeup wise from them
until the end of 2012, so as you can probably tell I was quite late onto the
band wagon when it came down to the Topshop makeup. So far I have only tried
a small selection of they're lipsticks, not going to lie, I am so glad that
I did, I can't fault them in the slightest.

Today I'm going to be talking about my very first purchase which is in the shade
'Innocent'. I am an absolute  sucker for these kinds of shades whenever I go
shopping. So with that I'm going to start off by saying that I absolutely adore
this shade. its so pigmented, its creamy, slightly glossy, and has impeccable
staying power, these for me, are with out a doubt the best kind of lipstick
formula. This lipstick is not drying at all on the lips, and will not leave
them feeling flaky or uncomfortable. They are not the cheapest, but definitely
not too expensive either, with a retail price of £8, which is a bonus in my book,
I never leave a Topshop store feeling guilty of destroying my piggy bank! For
me they are of just as much quality as any high end lipstick, Just wish there
was a slightly bigger color range:) I love love love the packaging, although its
metal, it looks adorable and definitely stands out in my makeup bag.

I would recommend Topshop lipsticks to anyone and everyone, I have massive
love for them, and will be soon to purchase more from the range.
